My New Baby!

Here "she" is--the newest member of the family.

After 13 years and ~70 quilts (plus other projects like clothes and home dec) my old BabyLock said "time for my retirement". So, I've bought a Bernina 560 which promises to be a wonderful, well-made machine. Oops, actually Bernina refers to it as a "sewing computer". ;-)

I purchased this with the help of Erin Daley of Daley By The Yard in Acton, MA. What a great experience this had been. Erin is helpful, fun, knowledgeable, candid and has been great every step of the way. She is clearly committed to our long-term relationship! I've had my machines serviced for a few years at her shop. Erin's dad does the work on the premises. Their prices are reasonable and they get the machines back to the customers asap (usually in 7-10 days.) Have a look at Erin's website to learn all about the classes they offer and other fun stuff. daleybytheyard.com

As for me, I will be working away on a couple of commissioned quilts in the queue, a couple of my own projects, and enjoying the summer weather. Thanks for visiting, Fran
